“Energy to survive”

It’s proven how the walk was so devastating.

The Stretch of horizon shows how thirsty the river bed to follow footsteps.

River island people trade their home cultivated goods in different open markets and those market places are the only source for their essentials.

Hazrat Ali, bought 40 litres of fuel for his cultivation and few essentials for home, and carried them on his bicycle.

“Hope after Death”

“Hope after Death” Submitting prayers of hope on registering a name to Heaven.
An unknown destination, preparing for the funeral of the Old Lady who died at the age of 103. Our Destructive walk stopped for a few moments. We didn’t expect a village middle of the River Island. Life moves with climate change; religion is the only trust for the life of the people of the River Island.

“The Dead River Bed”

River is my most preferred place to visit.

We grew up on the remote side of Bangladesh where the only communication and transport was rail or river. Going to river is always my craving, but I couldn’t realize her mightiness, beauty and struggle.

Life of rivers is as humans’ nature. Her strengths of love give nature a gorgeous look and also destructive manners.

My journey with photography agitated my life so many ways that create passion floating on many rivers mile after miles.

My River journey begins early during 1999, floating with a boat on Padma river near Shoriotpor District.

In the year 2000 the month of February I had planned to discover the life of the river which was not a very easy journey. As my plan, I had decided to walk by the river Padma which is flowing from India and my target was to reach “Farakka” barrage, and my first-day walk was so raw that it taught me remarkable journey by feet.

The day I start our walk from six in the morning till eight in the evening it was a destructive plan which I never thought of.

After developing my B&W films a week later that destructive day walk didn’t sadden me at all.

This is one of my Favorite Images along with many more.
